Along with the 14 Original Compositions of the Legend, some of Ustad Rashid Khan's other albums are Ustad Rashid Khan - The Gurus of Bandish, a Hindi classical music VCD, Thumris In Bhairavi (music CD) with four artistes Thumri rendition. The Best of Rashid Khan music CD features best of Hindustani Classical vocal renderings by Rashid Khan. Naina Piya Se music CD features Rashid Khan with instrumental accompaniment by Tajendra Narayan Majumdar.

Ustad Rashid Khan is an Indian classical musician of North Indian Hindustani music. He belongs to the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana. Bhimsen Joshi has spoken of Rashid Khan as an 'assurance for the future of Indian vocal music'. As a child he had little interest in music but disciplined and (oft detested!) family training paid off in his mastery of glissandos - taan and layakaari today and by the time he was 18, Rashid began to enjoy his musical training. Today the mastery of tonal variations, timbre adjustment and tonal dynamics leave little to be desired as in 14 Original Compositions of the Legend.

Rashid Khan has also fused pure Hindustani music with other and lighter musical genres such as in the Sufi fusion Naina Piya Se (with Amir Khusro songs), and in experimental concerts with western instrumentalist Louis Banks and ghazal singer Talat Aziz. He has also performed jugalbandis, along with sitarist Shahid Parvez and others artists.

Meeta Pandit is the scion of the Gwalior gharana, the sixth in the Pandit lineage and is the only woman musician of the family. Her melodious voice coupled and handling of ragas has won her rave reviews and many a music lover. Along with Tappa and Khayal, Meeta is adept with genres of Tarana, Bhajan, Thumri, Sufi, as well as cross cultural music. It is very aptly said that “on her young shoulders rests the future of an over 200 year old family tradition”.

Nirmalya Dey, the third of the quartet which sang 14 Original Compositions of the Legend was initiated into singing by his mother. He did dhrupad with Professor Nimaichand Boral, a disciple of Ustad Nasir Moinuddin Khan Dagar. His advanced training was with Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar, master of Dagar tradition. The process of training still continues.
