Amitabh Bachchan was born 11th October 1942 and is a legendary Bollywood actor, and one of the most prominent figures in the Indian film industry even today. Best known as an actor, Bachchan has been awarded with most important awards in his career, including three National Film Awards and twelve Filmfare Awards and he holds the record for most number of Best Actor nominations at the Filmfare. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, television presenter, film producer, and was an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
